Crack Is Still A Technical Problem in Concrete Engineering

In the context of large-scale infrastructure construction, high performance concrete has been widely promoted all over the world because of its good frost resistance, impermeability, carbonation resistance, shrinkage resistance, workability and durability, which has met the urgent needs of the country in engineering construction. However, in the actual use of high performance concrete, people found that in addition to good working, its durability, impermeability has not been improved, especially the crack resistance has a certain degree of decline.

High performance concrete in tunnel, bridge, water conservancy dam, airport runway, high-rise building construction period, economic rationality and environmental adaptability has shown a certain advantage, but some engineering structures will also occur varying degrees of cracking, for our project builders, this is an urgent problem to be solved.

In addition, since fly ash is added to concrete as a mineral admixture, concrete industry enterprises continue to develop new types of mineral admixture, such as slag, various tailings, limestone powder, etc., a wide variety of varieties, the dosage is also rising significantly. The use of these admixtures converts solid waste into building raw materials, achieving the effect of resource recycling. However, we should also see that the addition of admixtures will also increase the shrinkage of concrete.
